In 1955, Edina, Minnesota housewife and mother of three Emma Rovick borrowed $2,000 and bought a struggling real estate firm in order to make enough money to buy a piano for her daughter. She inherited three sales people and managed to sell $2 million in real estate that first year. Her first office was at 50th and France in Edina before France Avenue was even paved.

Edina Realty Foundation

Shouldn't everyone have a place to call home?  That's what Edina Realty sales partners thought when they offered their helping hands in establishing the Edina Realty Foundation. The Foundation extends financial support to organizations which provide housing and related services such as counseling and medial care to homeless children, families and individuals.  Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation has raised more than $5.3 million to help homeless individuals and families in the communities we serve.

Foundation Funding

When you buy or sell a home with Edina Realty, a percentage of the sale goes to the Edina Realty Foundation to target the issue of homelessness. The employees of Edina Realty, Edina Realty Title, Edina Realty Mortgage, Edina Realty Home Services, as well as the general public make additional contributions.

Grants typically range in size from $200 - $5,000. The average grant is $2,000.
